Lavinia Fuksas is a designer and jeweller based in Rome, Italy. She grew up in a culturally vibrant environment and, from an early age, developed a strong interest in the interplay between art and fashion.
Alongside her studies in economics at Luigi Bocconi University in Milan, she gained professional experience in art galleries and collaborated with emerging and established fashion houses such as Azzedine Alaïa. In 2015, while still studying, she launched her first jewelry brand, AdMater.
She later completed a textile design course at Central Saint Martins in London, an associate degree in Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design in New York, a Master’s degree in Womenswear Design at Istituto Marangoni and an Architecture degree in Paris.
In 2020, she founded her eponymous label Lavinia Fuksas, creating luxury and architectural jewelry pieces using innovative and sustainable techniques such as 3D printing, minimizing waste and working exclusively with recyclable materials. Each piece is melted and finished by Roman artisans, supporting local craftsmanship.
Lavinia Fuksas aims to speak to authentic and strong individuals, as well as to those who are seeking that strength, building and supporting identity through her creations. Her pieces are fluid and precious, yet at the same time rough and sculptural, composed of real architectural constructions. Envisioning that true luxury resides within, and that authentic grace lies precisely in what is not shown, her timeless jewelry mirrors human nature: always unique, concealing richness, tenderness and strength beneath the surface.
